8-Step Problem-Solving

This program is designed for leaders charged with project management and strategic decision making. You'll learn to focus resources on the areas most critical to your business and tackle root causes instead of symptoms—helping you solve problems faster and with more impact.

You'll complete the course with an understanding of the principles of preparing A3 reports and overseeing and reviewing the 8-step model for solving problems.

This course is available as a custom course on the Knoxville campus or at a location of your choice.

James Cody—director of the Graduate & Executive Education's Aerospace & Defense Executive Programs. James has worked in strategic planning across “total force” needs of the U.S. Department of Defense and has significant experience working with the aerospace and defense industry.

James is a retired US Air Force colonel with 25 years of service. James holds 4 masters degrees that include an MBA from the University of Tennessee, a MMAS from the School of Advanced Operational Art Studies, a MAAS from the School of Advanced Airpower Studies and a MAS from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
